Current Taxes are payable at par from October 1st to October 31st each year. A penalty of 1.25% (15% per annum) will be added to all unpaid taxes after the due date, and alike penalty on the 1st day of each and every month thereafter until paid.
Tax arrears and penalties must be paid in full before payment can be applied to current taxes. Properties in arrears of taxes for more than one year may be sold for taxes.

The Rural Municipality of Victoria administrative offices must be advised promptly of any change of ownership or mailing address in order to ensure that the tax invoice is properly forwarded. If you have received a Tax Notice and the property to which it relates has been sold, please ensure that the Notice is forwarded to the new property owners, or return it to the Municipal Office for proper addressing.
Failure to receive an invoice does not excuse responsibility for payment of taxes nor relieve the owner from liability for any late payment penalty. For further information regarding your taxes (excluding school taxes), please telephone, write or email the Rural Municipality of Victoria. When making an inquiry about your statement, please quote the Roll Number that appears on the top right-hand corner of your statement. If your inquiry pertains to school taxes, please contact your school division.

The Purpose for having a Road Approach / Driveway application form
To ensure that any work conducted within the Municipal Right of Way for the purpose of a Road Approach / Driveway improvement is:
Cypress River Garbage Pick-up
Every Saturday Morning for scheduled pick-ups only.

Holland Garbage Pick-up
Every Wednesday.
Please have garbage out before 9:00 a.m. to ensure pick-up.
The Council of the R.M. of Victoria encourages recycling: please do your part! We all know how important it is to recycle. We create a lot of waste which will eventually fill our landfill site if we don’t all make a conscious effort to prevent this from happening.
Better yet, when you purchase articles, buy those with the least amount of packaging, or buy in bulk. Try to buy recycled articles and only buy those articles that you truly need.
The Municipality of Victoria also offers E-Waste Recycling at the Holland Waste Transfer Station. E-Waste Recycling is available during regular hours of operation.
Avoid disposable items when at all possible.

Following material groups can be recycled at the Holland Waste Transfer Station, Cypress River Waste Transfer Station, and Curbside Recycling Blue Box Pickup:
- Newspaper (flyers, envelopes, take-out food bags, egg cartons - NOT STYROFOAM)
- Telephone Books
- Magazine and Catalogs (including glossy paper)
- Office Paper (bond paper, envelopes, Kraft paper, etc.)
- Shredded Office Paper (Place in clear/blue bags)
- Boxboard (cereal boxes, laundry detergent boxes, toy boxes, shoe boxes, etc.)
- Clean Corrugated Cardboard
- Aluminum Cans
- Steel/Tin Cans (no need to remove labels)
- Glass Jar and Bottles (Please remove all lids)
- Gable top beverage cartons (milk, milk products, and juice cartons & Kool-Aid jammers)
- Tetra Pak Containers (beverage containers)
- Coffee cups & lids (Tim Horton's/McDonald's)
- PET #1 Plastic (soft drink bottles, some food, and personal care product containers)
- HDPE #2 Plastic (milk jugs, Tylenol, Advil, vitamin bottles, some food, and personal care product containers)
- LDPE #4 Plastic (containers and lids from margarine, yogurt, and other food products)
- PP #5 Plastic (Margarine, yogurt, clean coffee pods, plastic cutlery, prescription pill bottles, and other food products)
- #7 Plastic Containers (ketchup, syrup, margarine containers, straws, etc.)
- Car Seats (cloth & seat belts need to be taken off)

Cypress River Waste Transfer Station (Dump)
located at Cypress River on the Northside of Highway 2.

Please note that this is a Waste Transfer Station only. Larger items must be taken to the Holland Waste Disposal Grounds.
Holland Waste Transfer Station (Dump)
located 2.5 miles south of Highway 2 on River Road.
Summer Hours of Operation effective May 1, 2026
Tuesday 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Winter Hours of Operation
Tuesday 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Saturday 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Certain articles are NOT allowed at the Waste Transfer Stations.
They include:
$30.00 disposal fee for units that contain harmful gases.
(Fridges, freezers, air conditioners, water coolers, or dehumidifiers)
$30.00 disposal fee per mattress.
Fees payable for non-resident and commercial use for disposal at the Holland Waste Transfer Station are as follows

Unreported items dumped at the landfill are in violation of the access reporting procedures and will be charged double the tipping fee listed above.
If you wish to gain access outside of the regular hours, please contact the RM of Victoria Office. Please note that an access fee of $50.00 will be charged for this service.
See below for different categories of waste is accepted at the Holland Transfer Station.
Recycle you used oil, used oil filters, antifreeze, and used oil and antifreeze containers at the Holland Waste Transfer Station.
Oil – any petroleum or synthetic crankcase oil, engine oil, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, gear oil, heat transfer fluid or other fluid used for lubricating purposes in machinery or equipment.
Oil Filters – any spin-on or element oil filter used in hydraulic, transmission or internal combustion engine applications – includes diesel fuel filters but does not include gasoline fuel filters.
Oil Containers – any plastic container with a capacity of less than 50 litres that is manufactured to hold oil.
Antifreeze – any ethylene glycol or propylene glycol vehicle engine coolant.
Antifreeze Containers – any plastic container with a capacity of less than 50 litres that is manufactured to hold antifreeze.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Containers – any plastic container with a capacity of less than 50 litres that is manufactured to hold Diesel Exhaust Fluid.
Pick up your FREE bags at the Holland Waste Transfer Station or the Municipal Office.
Return to Holland Waste Disposal Grounds.
ONLY clean, dry, and separated plastic twine, and grain bags will be accepted.
Household paint is now accepted.
