Freedom of Information
In May of 1998, FIPPA (Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act) was proclaimed into law for the Province of Manitoba. It is intended to protect the rights of individuals by preventing the inappropriate release of personal information to the public.
The production of municipal maps is now governed by this legislation. If you would like to have your name removed from the municipal map, please contact our office.
The following municipal records may be accessed at any time:
- Assessment roll
- Financial plans
- Financial statements
- Auditors report
- Council minutes of meetings
- By-law and resolutions
Access to these records does not require an application for access under FIPPA.
